The Hair & Beauty Industry Award has undergone a make-over by the Fair Work Commission as part of the 4 yearly review – plain language re-drafting process.
The new look HBIA will be take effect on 9 August 2022. Some clauses impacted by the plain language redrafting include provision relating to casual conversion, award entitlements for part timer employees, changes to how annual leave is calculated and the inclusion of Hostplus as an approved superannuation fund and removal of State-wide Superannuation Trust.
Check out the Fair Work Commission website on or around 9 August to access the new version of the HBIA. To stay compliant, remember, to update copies or links to the award for your team as per clause 5 of the HBIA.
